Measurement and Control Technology and Instrument

The Measurement, Control Technology and Instrumentation program at Beijing Jiaotong University specializes in intelligent sensing and advanced control. Building upon the university's strengths in national key disciplines such as Mechatronic Engineering and Vehicle Operation Engineering, the program follows a core pathway of information acquisition, transmission, processing, control, and decision-making. It achieves deep integration of mechanics, electronics, control, and new information technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things.

The program features distinct advantages in intelligent sensing of rail transit infrastructure and operational environment conditions, as well as in advanced control of aerospace ground support equipment and robotics. It has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for China's rail transit, aerospace, and internet industries.

Based on the emerging engineering education framework and the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) philosophy, the program has established a curriculum system centered on "information acquisition, information processing, information transmission, intelligent decision-making, and advanced control." Through continuous, multi-level, and integrated project practice spanning four years, students' practical abilities are cultivated. The program also implements classified training for research-oriented and engineering-oriented innovative talents through the integration of undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as industry-academia collaboration.
