Intelligent manufacturing is an emerging field formed by the deep integration of next-generation artificial intelligence technologies and advanced manufacturing technologies. The Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering program deeply integrates disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Computer Science, Information Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, and Management Science and Engineering. It incorporates next-generation information technologies like industrial internet, digital twins, and smart sensors, making it a key vehicle for implementing the national strategy of strengthening the country through manufacturing. In critical areas such as intelligent manufacturing of high-end equipment, deep mining of industrial big data, system integration of smart production lines, and intelligent equipment maintenance, it has become the core driver of industrial digital and intelligent transformation.
The Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering program focuses on the major demands of digital transformation and intelligent upgrading in the manufacturing industry, building an interdisciplinary knowledge system and delivering education through national-level experimental centers, advanced manufacturing discipline platforms, and first-class faculty. Through hands-on practice across the entire lifecycle of smart equipment design, smart factory planning and operation, and smart production line maintenance, the program cultivates innovative, interdisciplinary talents with expertise in "mechanical-electrical-control-information-management" integration.
