Institute of Advanced Power in School of Mechanical, Electronic and Control Engineering of Beijing Jiaotong University is an important platform to study IC engine combustion theory, technology and other power technologies.
Our institute has a group of experienced research personnel. In present, there are six teachers, including three professors, one associate professor, two lecturers and all the teachers have the PhD degree. There are about more than ten doctoral students and about more than thirty postgraduate students in our team.
Our research on advanced power is mainly focused on the following aspects:
l Research on model and fuel spray atomization mechanism of automotive diesel engine.
l Research on combustion mechanism and combustion system prediction design of diesel engine.
l Multi-dimensional numerical simulation research on inlet flow, spray, mixing and combustion process of IC engine.
l Research on ignition, flame propagation and flame intrinsic instabilities of alternative fuels.
l Research on burning characteristics and burning cycle change of natural gas engine.
l Basic and applied basic research of DPF technology, CRT technology and SCR technology in Diesel engine emission control.
l Research on the flow and combustion in the micro power systems.
l Research on aerodynamics and the flow of fluid
