The Students Mechanical Museum of BJTU on the List of the First Group of Members of Beijing Association for Science and Education

Beijing Association for Science and Education inaugural meeting and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Science and Education Museum Alliance conference is held in Beijing on the morning of March 8. The Students Mechanical Museum of BJTU becomes the first group of members of the association along with other 75 institutes including China Science and Technology Museum, Beijing Science Center and China Railway Museum.

Sui Zhenjiang, vice mayor of Beijing, Yin Hao, member of the Party Committee of China Association for Science and Technology and curator of China Science and Technology Museum together with other persons in charge of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Association for Science and Technology are presented at the meeting in which documents such as “Work Report of the Preparatory Committee of Beijing Association for Science and Education”, "Articles of Beijing Association for Science and Education" are reviewed and approved. The members of the first board of executors and board of supervisors are successfully elected in the conference.

Beijing Association for Science and Education is a public nonprofit social organization with membership system. It extensively attracts and absorbs distinctive science education venues across Beijing as member units. The purpose of the move is to express public new images of venues in the capital city as well as demonstrate Beijing’s new image as a city of science popularization through reciprocal advantages, resources sharing and collaborative development among member venues. Meanwhile, this association will prompt the balanced development between technology innovation and scientific popularization and accelerate city built to be a better science and technology innovation center and the national cultural center construction with t global influence.

The first group of members also include the Geological Museum of Peking University, the Herbarium of Beijing Normal University, the Media Museum of the Communication University of China, and the Physical Demonstration and Exploration Lab of Beijing Jiaotong University.
