Institute of Rail Transit Intelligent Detection Technology has 6 teachers, including 1 professor, 3 associate professors and 2 post-doctors.
The Institute equips with R&D (research and development) platform of railway infrastructure security state comprehensive detection technology, intelligent real-time line status identification system, road and rail amphibious comprehensive detection vehicle, railway and tunnel physical simulation model, dynamically environmental testing simulation platform, R&D platform for CWR (Continuous Welded Rail) stress testing technology and all kinds of advanced sensors, such as laser scanning sensor, high-speed camera, gyroscope, etc.
Research Directions
Research directions provide basis for safety operation and control of trains, covering security monitor of rail lines, basis theory and key technology of detection, intelligent perception technology which directly obtains and contains the information of tunnel clearance and security status during train operation.
Major Research Directions
1) Perception of railway safety status:
The research is based on the theory of ultrasonic guided-wave, fiber grating and magnetostriction to monitor online the crack, temperature stress, and crawling displacement of CWR.
2) Perception of tunnel safety clearance :
Machine vision, laser radar and microwave radar are used in the research to realize positive detection and passive warning based on wireless communication technology.
3) Basic theory of integrated perception:
In order to construct the theoretical basis of comprehensive perception theory of Chinese CWR equipment status in service, this direction includes the following aspects: the evolution model of CWR service status, the optimization method of comprehensive monitoring network, the perception algorithm of system status with complex distribution parameters, comprehensive evaluation method of equipment status in service.
