School of MECE Received 2018 “Comprehensive Award for Employment and Entrepreneurship Work”

On the afternoon of January 11, the 2019 Employment and Entrepreneurship Conference was held in the Science Hall. Cao Guoyong, secretary of CPC Committee of BJTU, Gao Yan, member of CPC Committee of BJTU, vice president of BJTU and other leaders attended the meeting. This conference summarized 2018 graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship situation, devised comprehensive planning of 2019 employment and entrepreneurship and commended the outstanding schools and departments. Our school received “Comprehensive Award for Employment and Entrepreneurship Work” (only 3 schools or department of BJTU were awarded), “Distinctive Award for Construction of Graduate Market” (only 2 schools or departments were awarded), and "Distinctive Award for Entrepreneurship Guidance" (only two schools or departments were). School of MECE has won the honorary title of advanced school or received “Comprehensive Award for Employment and Entrepreneurship” for five consecutive years.

Du Yongping, secretary of the Party committee of MECE, Li Jianyong, dean of MECE and relevant leaders attended the conference. Du Yongping, Pan Xianzhong, deputy secretary of the Party committee and Shi Hongmei, vice dean of MECE respectively accepted the “comprehensive Award for Employment and Entrepreneurship Work” “Distinctive Award for Construction of Graduate Market”, and "Distinctive Award for Teaching Entrepreneurship”.

School of MECE conscientiously implements the “top leadership” project for employment and entrepreneurship, promoting the integration of talent training and employment. With the goal of “stabilizing employment rate, enhancing employability and improving the quality of employment”, our school has adopted the policy of “providing in-depth employment guidance, employment services and expanding employment channel”. In 2018, the school has launched three special research activities concerning employment market development, education of employment and entrepreneurship, and internships in international organizations. Seven enterprises have been added on the key contact list, two employment-specific projects have been carried out. School also organized student employment practical activities, and further promoted accurate guidance and in-depth services for employment and entrepreneurship.The employment rate of 2018 undergraduates is 99%, the contract work rate is 91.69%, the further study rate is 49.17%?The employment rate of postgraduates is 99.56%, the contract worker rate is 95.13%.
